Meeting in Dubai: what it costs, and what the evening looks like.

What a two-day incentive with a meeting day in Dubai costs, with the 2025 average room rate, published day-delegate packages, the Tourism Dirham and a desert-dinner evening.

The brief this is written for

Fifty top performers and their leadership team, one half-day business session and two evenings that have to feel like a reward. Three nights, five-star, sea or Downtown.

Dubai is the incentive city of the Gulf: eleven-hour reach from most of Europe and Asia, five-star hotels at a density no other city matches, and a set of evenings, the desert above all, that do the motivating for you. It is also a city where the published numbers are unusually clear. The tourism department reports the average room rate every year, the Tourism Dirham is a fixed fee by hotel category, and several hotel groups publish their day-delegate price.

That clarity matters because the headline rate has moved: the 2025 average daily rate across Dubai hotels was AED 579, up 8% on the year, with occupancy above 80%. The table below sets that against a published day-delegate package, the per-room Tourism Dirham, and the ticketed evenings in the itinerary.

A two-day itinerary

How the days run.

Meeting hours, transfers and evenings as a sourcing desk would lay them out. Named venues link to their own pages; times are typical, not booked.

Day 1: arrive and see the skyline

  1. Afternoon

Check in, Downtown or the beach

Downtown puts the group next to the Burj Khalifa and the Dubai Mall and on the Metro; the beach hotels at Jumeirah and the Palm give the resort feel an incentive wants, at the cost of a coach for every transfer. For fifty people, a single hotel with both a ballroom and a pool deck avoids the choice.

  2. 17:30

    At the Top, Burj Khalifa

The observation decks on levels 124 and 125, and the SKY lounge on 148, sell timed tickets with the sunset slot priced highest. Groups book through the attraction's sales team; a pre-sunset entry with the group staying through the light change is the standard incentive slot.

  3. 20:00

Dinner in Downtown with the fountain show

The Dubai Fountain performs on Burj Lake every half hour in the evening, and the restaurants along the promenade take group bookings with a view of it. The show is free; the table is the cost.

Day 2: business in the morning, desert at night

  1. 08:30 to 13:00

    Half-day business session

Dubai hotels quote a daily delegate package per person that includes room hire, coffee breaks, a buffet lunch and standard audio-visual, and most state it as inclusive of service charge, municipality fee and VAT. Ask for the half-day version and whether the lunch can move to a dinner credit.

  2. 15:30 to 22:00

    Heritage desert safari and dinner

A conservation-reserve safari in vintage Land Rovers, a falconry display at sunset, then a four-course Emirati dinner in a Bedouin-style camp with drumming and dancing. Platinum Heritage publishes its per-adult price and takes exclusive group camps; this is the evening delegates photograph most.

Day 3: a frame around the city

  1. 10:00

    Dubai Frame

The 150-metre gilded frame in Zabeel Park looks at old Dubai on one side and the new city on the other, with a glass walkway between. It takes an hour, is a short coach ride from Downtown, and publishes its adult ticket price.

  2. Afternoon

Free time on the Metro, then the airport

The Red Line runs from the Marina through Downtown to both airport terminals; a single silver-card fare covers one to three zones and the trains are frequent. It is the cheapest way to give the group an afternoon of their own before the flights.

What the table leaves out, and why

  • At the Top sells timed tickets whose price changes with the hour, so we have linked the official listing rather than print a single figure.
  • The Museum of the Future, often on incentive lists, was closed for a new programme when we checked its website, so it is not in this itinerary.
  • Hotel bills add a municipality fee, a service charge and VAT on top of the room rate; the day-delegate package quoted above already includes them, but room rates are usually quoted before them. Ask for both on the same basis.

Questions

Budgeting a meeting in Dubai

What buyers ask about the cost side of this city. The venue detail is on the destination page.

Is the Tourism Dirham included in a hotel quote?
Usually not. It is a fixed fee per room per night set by hotel category, charged by the hotel and shown separately on the bill. Ask for it as a line in the quote so a four-star and a five-star bid can be compared on the total.
Can the desert evening be part of the hotel tender?
Only where the hotel resells it, and then at a margin. Desert operators sell direct to corporate groups and quote exclusive camps; we recommend booking it direct and keeping the hotel tender to rooms, the meeting and the in-house dinner.
When is Dubai too hot for an incentive?
June to September, when daytime temperatures pass 40°C and the desert programme moves to after dark or off the agenda. November to March is the season; expect the highest room rates then, and the earliest sell-outs at the beach hotels.
