Meeting venuesParis, France
Paris hotels quote a journée d'étude that looks like a day delegate rate but is not: the inclusions, the coffee-break count and whether the room is yours until six all vary. Fashion Week, trade shows and the Roland-Garros fortnight then move the whole city's rate card without warning.
How Paris hotels quote
The journée d'étude (study day) and séminaire résidentiel are per-person packages, quoted in euro. French VAT is reduced-rate on accommodation and food but standard-rate on room hire and AV, so a package total mixes rates. Add the taxe de séjour per person per night for residentials.
We fix all of that into one per-person package, in EUR, before any hotel quotes. Hotels then compete on a number that means the same thing in every offer, and the rank you see is the rank of what you would actually pay.
Fashion Weeks in January, March, June, September and October fill the west. Roland-Garros in late May and June lifts the 16th. The Paris Air Show in June of odd years and the big Porte de Versailles and Villepinte trade shows spike their own weeks. August is quiet and cheap but many restaurants close.
Market conventions, tax treatment and event dates as understood in September 2026 from published sources; they change. Every offer in an RFPVenue contest states its own tax, service and fee basis, and that is what you compare on. New to these conventions? Where to hold it
The hotel clusters buyers use, and what our sourcing desk would tell you about each before the brief is fixed. Name a district in the brief or let the field decide.
The business district. Large conference floors, corporate pricing, empty at weekends.
Central, well connected, the natural choice for a client day or a board dinner with an evening in the city.
Palace hotels and their neighbours. Board dinners and high-stakes leadership days.
Newer conference hotels with real breakout capacity and better value for training days.
Fly-in one-nighters and European team meetings that never need the centre.
Venues buyers shortlist
A sample of established meeting hotels across Paris's districts, with the capacity figures each hotel publishes on its own site. Not a ranking, a recommendation or a partnership: when you send a brief we invite whichever comparable hotels fit it, whether or not they are listed here.
| Hotel | District | Meeting rooms | Largest room | Theatre | Banquet | Event space | Transport |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Le Méridien Paris Arc de Triomphe | 17e, Porte Maillot | 18 | Mac-Mahon | 800 | 700 | 3,051 m² | – |
| Renaissance Paris La Défense Hotel | La Défense, Cours Valmy | 15 | Côté Jardins (combined) | 220 | 180 | 953 m² | – |
| Paris Marriott Opera Ambassador Hotel | Opéra, Boulevard Haussmann | 9 | Vendôme | 200 | 120 | 752 m² | – |
| Pullman Paris La Défense | La Défense, Avenue de l'Arche | 13 | Largest room 190 m² | 190 | 150 | – | La Défense station, 200 m |
Figures are each hotel's published maximum for the layout, read on the date shown below; they shrink once staging, AV and catering are in the room, and hotels change them. Confirm capacity against your brief before you rely on it. For a meeting of 20 to 120 people the largest ballroom is rarely the right room; the number of meeting rooms tells you more about breakout capacity.

Meetings in Paris
European leadership meetings for groups headquartered here, client-facing days near Opéra, board dinners in the 8th, and residential offsites that add a night for the city.
Most briefs are for 20 to 120 people, but the venue table above shows the ballrooms and convention hotels for several thousand, and the process is the same. Send the brief as you have it; we make it comparable.
Room, breaks, lunch, AV, bedrooms, taxes, service and cancellation terms are locked before any hotel sees the brief. Every quote means the same thing.
We invite properties that match the brief on capacity, standard and location, including any you name. A round needs at least three comparable offers to open.
Hotels see their own rank and the price to beat, never each other. Prices can only fall. You award on best value and are under no obligation if nothing fits.
The awarded total against the average of confirmed comparable offers, hashed and printable. The booking contract stays directly between you and the hotel.
