Meeting venuesPrague, Czech Republic

Compare meeting venues in Prague on one brief.

Prague has excellent conference hotels at Central European prices, but a leisure calendar that fills them from Easter to October and again in December. Hotels quote in euro or koruna depending on who asks, and the exchange assumption alone can hide a 5% difference between two offers.

How Prague hotels quote

Same brief, different quotes.

Per-person packages quoted in koruna or euro. Czech VAT is reduced-rate on accommodation and food and standard-rate on room hire and AV. Prague's city fee per person per night is modest and usually shown. We fix the quoting currency before hotels quote so the rank is not an exchange-rate artefact.

We fix all of that into one per-person package, in CZK, before any hotel quotes. Hotels then compete on a number that means the same thing in every offer, and the rank you see is the rank of what you would actually pay.

What moves prices in Prague

Easter, the Prague Spring festival in May and June, the summer leisure peak and the Christmas markets fill the centre. Congress Centre events take out Vyšehrad for a week at a time. January, February and November are the corporate windows.

Market conventions, tax treatment and event dates as understood in September 2026 from published sources; they change. Every offer in an RFPVenue contest states its own tax, service and fee basis, and that is what you compare on. New to these conventions? Read the day delegate rate guide or start from the RFP template.

Where to hold it

Where Prague meetings actually happen.

The hotel clusters buyers use, and what our sourcing desk would tell you about each before the brief is fixed. Name a district in the brief or let the field decide.

  • Staré Město & Josefov

Old Town hotels for dinners and leadership days with the city as the setting.

  • Nové Město & Wenceslas Square

The commercial centre. Large hotels with conference floors and corporate pricing.

  • Karlín

The regenerated business district. New hotels and the city's technology and shared-service employers.

  • Vyšehrad & the Congress Centre

Purpose-built capacity around the Prague Congress Centre, with metro access.

Conference hotels in Prague, as they publish themselves.

A sample of established meeting hotels across Prague's districts, with the capacity figures each hotel publishes on its own site. Not a ranking, a recommendation or a partnership: when you send a brief we invite whichever comparable hotels fit it, whether or not they are listed here.

Figures are each hotel's published maximum for the layout, read on the date shown below; they shrink once staging, AV and catering are in the room, and hotels change them. Confirm capacity against your brief before you rely on it. For a meeting of 20 to 120 people the largest ballroom is rarely the right room; the number of meeting rooms tells you more about breakout capacity.

Meetings in Prague

What buyers run here.

Central and Eastern European leadership and all-hands meetings for the shared-service and technology centres based here, board dinners in the Old Town, and training days in Nové Město.

Most briefs are for 20 to 120 people, but the venue table above shows the ballrooms and convention hotels for several thousand, and the process is the same. Send the brief as you have it; we make it comparable.

  1. 01

    One package, fixed first

Room, breaks, lunch, AV, bedrooms, taxes, service and cancellation terms are locked before any hotel sees the brief. Every quote means the same thing.

  2. 02

    Comparable hotels only

We invite properties that match the brief on capacity, standard and location, including any you name. A round needs at least three comparable offers to open.

  3. 03

    A live contest

Hotels see their own rank and the price to beat, never each other. Prices can only fall. You award on best value and are under no obligation if nothing fits.

  4. 04

    A figure finance can file

The awarded total against the average of confirmed comparable offers, hashed and printable. The booking contract stays directly between you and the hotel.

Questions

Booking a meeting in Prague

What buyers ask us about this city first. Anything else, put it in the brief.

Should we ask hotels to quote in euro or koruna?
Whichever your finance team invoices in, and the same for every hotel. We fix it in the package so no offer looks cheaper because of the rate it assumed.
Is Prague still a value destination for meetings?
For the meeting package and the food, clearly. For bedrooms in high season, less than it was. Timing and a fixed residential package are where the saving sits.
Do you source in Brno or Bratislava too?
Yes. Both are sourced on the same basis; Bratislava is an hour from Vienna and often paired with it.
